MEDFORD, Ore– Jackson County Public Health announced 16 new cases of the coronavirus today. The county now has 1,139 cases as 175 cases remain active.
This is the first time in over a month that the county has had over 100 new cases of Covid-19 in a single week. Currently the county has had 102 new cases of the virus this week.
Right now most of the cases in Jackson County are from people between the ages of 20 and 29 and 30 and 39. Both of those age groups have more than 200 cases.
Five people have died from the virus so far in Jackson County, since the start of the pandemic.
