9,007 new cases, 257 new deaths reported in Florida

As of 11 a.m. Friday, there have been 470,386 positive cases of the coronavirus recorded in the state. The case count includes 465,030 Florida residents and 5,356 non-Florida residents. There are 6,843 Florida resident deaths reported, 123 non-resident deaths and 26,533 hospitalizations, according to the Florida Department of Health.

There have been 3,633,393 tests administered in Florida. A total of 470,386 tests have come back positive, and 3,157,702 tests have come back negative. The remainder are still pending or inconclusive, according to the FDOH website.

*Numbers are released by the DOH daily at approximately 11 a.m.


Total number of recorded cases: 470,386 (up from 461,379)
Florida resident deaths: 6,843 (up from 6,586)
Non-resident deaths: 123 (down from 124) *1 death redacted

Collier County: 9,581 (up from 9,355) – 122 deaths (1 new)
Charlotte County: 1,946 (up from 1,889) – 86 deaths (1 new)
DeSoto County: 1,264 (up from 1,251) – 14 deaths
Glades County: 389 (unchanged) – 3 deaths
Hendry County: 1,632 (up from 1,618) – 36 deaths (1 new)
