The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported 18 new positive coronavirus test results in Crawford County Wednesday, raising the county’s total case count since early March to 417.
The agency has not released information on any of the cases.
Most of the increases appear to be in the Titusville area. According to ZIP code data from the state, Titusville had 28 confirmed cases and 10 probable cases listed Tuesday. On Wednesday, that number jumped to 40 and 11, respectively.
The DOH’s online hospital preparedness dashboard on Wednesday said the county did not have any coronavirus patients hospitalized, a decrease from four patients hospitalized Tuesday. Meadville Medical Center has stopped giving daily updates and referred inquiries to the agency’s website.
The county has had 87 cases reported by the state since Oct. 5.
To date, there have been 9,694 negative tests in the county, an increase of 74 since Tuesday.
Regionally, since the state started tracking COVID-19, Erie County has had 1,912 cases (an increase of 13 since Tuesday), Mercer County 929 (up 13), Venango County 187 (up eight) and Warren County 60 (up one).
